Major Executive Recruiting Firm
- Winged Keel Group
designed a "group term replacement" plan that insures
each of the Managing Directors for $1,000,000. For a cost comparable
to the firm's original group life insurance premium, the benefit
design we developed will generate significant cash values at
retirement.
Investment Banking Boutique
- Managing Directors and Vice Presidents of a sophisticated
"boutique" investment bank participated in a guaranteed
issue separate account life insurance program insured with an
AAA rated carrier. Winged Keel Group
originated the plan and provides ongoing administration services.
International
Law Firm - One of the largest law firms in
the world turned to Winged Keel Group
for the design of a customized partners' life insurance plan.
Over 150 partners were insured with portable individual policies. Unique features of the plan include the level of guaranteed
issue coverage available (up to $1.5 million), the quality of
the insurance company, and the competitive rate structure.
Split Dollar Insurance Plan
- Winged Keel Group designed a Split Dollar life insurance benefit for
the subsidiary of a Japanese financial services company to insure
a select group of executives. Under the plan, the company advances
premiums for permanent life insurance and retains a collateral
interest in the policies. The plan will eventually reimburse
the company for all premiums advanced, plus a factor for the
cost of funds utilized. Over time, each executive is expected
to have significant policy cash value that can be used to maintain
a long-term life insurance benefit.
Phantom Stock Funding -
Winged Keel Group administers a 20 year-old
phantom stock plan for the senior executives of a privately
held consumer products company with over $3.5 billion in annual
sales. The company gets back, with interest, the costs of offering
this plan by using corporate-owned life insurance (COLI) acquired
from five different life insurance companies. This funding includes
both general account (fixed income-oriented) and separate account
(equity-oriented) COLI products.
Supplemental Executive Retirement
Plan - One of the most acclaimed specialty jewelers
in the world retained Winged Keel Group to design and fund a Supplemental
Executive Retirement Plan for its key executives. The plan targets
a retirement benefit approximately equal to 60% of final average
pay. The vesting and benefit accrual schedules combine to provide
a "golden handcuff," making it difficult for competitors
to hire away the company's most experienced leaders.
Executive Long-Term Disability
